Bistra Ilkova is Master in Finance from University of National and World Economy, city of Sofia. Bistra Ilkova is “Mrs Economy 2006”for lifetime achievement in the non-banking financial field. Under her management the Bulgarian Stock Exchange – Sofia JSC was awarded “Mr/ Mrs Economy 2007” Competition in the most prestigious category “Lifetime Achievement for the Development of the National Economy”. Bistra Ilkova is one of the 2010 finalists, nominated for the Stevie Award for Women in Business (Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa) in the Best Entrepreneur category (The American Business Oscars for Women)

Bistra Ilkova has analytical skills to develop strategies, programs, analyses and expert reports. She has been a guest lecturer in training sessions, seminars and conferences, organized by universities, branch organizations, associations, commissions, federations and others in Bulgaria and abroad. Since 1983 she has been a part-time lecturer at Finance department of the University of National and World Economy, city of Sofia.

Bistra has experience in buying and selling companies, acquisitions for financial field companies and finding suited cross border buying candidates. Bistra provides his knowledge to his clients and prepares any necessary documentation include business plan, descriptive memorandum, prospectus, PM, market research etc.

• Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange – Sofia PLC (2003-2005);
• CEO of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange – Sofia PLC (2006-2010).
• Since 2004 till now she is Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian Export Insurance Agency JSC
